Rafe Colburn is the Chief Product Officer at Depop. Having joined the business in 2022, he is responsible for Depop’s product & design function, driving the vision for Depop’s end-to-end user experience while building a high performing product organisation.
Previous to Depop, Rafe served as Vice President of Engineering at Etsy, and was responsible for Etsy's Ads, Fulfilment, Seller Experience, MarTech, and Landing Experience teams. During his tenure, he established Etsy's Data Engineering team, and was responsible for Payments and Checkout, Compliance, International, and Member Services/Trust & Safety engineering.
Prior to joining Etsy, Rafe was the Principal Engineer at IDology (a startup in the Know Your Customer space) and worked as a consultant at a number of firms building custom applications. He's been working on Web applications since they became a thing in the mid-nineties, and is the author of a number of books on Web development..
