Community-powered fashion marketplace Depop has appointed Rachel McShane as Chief Financial Officer and Rebecca Levy-Lewis as Senior Director, People, Culture & Impact. Both will join the company’s Executive Team upon assuming their new roles, in late November and early January respectively.

Rachel McShane joins Depop from Paysafe, where she was CFO of the Digital Wallets division, and prior to this spent over a decade at Barclays, most recently as Head of Finance for the Corporate Bank. She succeeds Francois Callens, Depop’s previous Chief Operating and Financial Officer, who stepped down over the summer to pursue new ventures within the technology sector.

Rebecca Levy-Lewis moves into a newly created leadership role overseeing People, Impact and Internal Communications. Previously Depop’s Director of Communications, she has had an integral role in the business for over 4 years across both external and internal communications, and has a background in the fashion, retail and marketplace sectors across the US and UK. Rebecca will assume her new role in January 2024 when she returns from parental leave.

Commenting on the appointments, Depop’s CEO Kruti Patel Goyal said, “We’re delighted to be bolstering our Executive Team with two proven leaders who have a strong connection to our mission and a great understanding of the culture and ethos of our business. Both Rachel and Rebecca have deep experience of managing high performing teams and truly embody our values of empowerment, integrity and commitment; they’re uniquely placed to help us deliver on our ambitions in 2024 and beyond.”
